In order to raise up the awareness of safe work on construction sites, DAFA Association with Porozumienie dla Bezpieczeństwa w Budownictwie organised a health and safety training course on the 24/25 of March in Wroclaw, which was dedicated to the promotion of the "Collective protection".
The meeting was attended by 40 people – mainly the representatives of the subcontractors of flat roofs and facades, being present on large-size building sites and meeting the risks related to working at heights. The lectures were also attended by honorary guests from the Regional Labour Inspectorate in Wroclaw.
The main objective of the training was to increase the level of safety and OHS work culture on construction sites and provide awareness of the dangers and implementation of safety standards in daily work.
In the second part of the meeting Tomasz Lankow presented ArcelorMittal Construction Polska goal’s toward safe working environment and the company products and solutions.
In summary, the training gave participants a useful and valuable information which will prevent risks and accidents on construction sites. Several case studies provided an opportunity to better understand the topic and help find the best safety solutions. The idea of the training was supported by the patronage of the Lower Silesian District Chamber of Civil Engineers.
